John is a Partner at BSA and has 30 years of experience in design and construction in New York City. He received a BFA and BArch from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute, where he taught as an Adjunct Professor. Beyond design, he has experience with carpentry, building systems and infrastructure. Interests include sailing and everything involving boats.
Michael is the founding partner of BSA and was born and raised in Stamford, CT. He graduated from Columbia College Magna Cum Laude, and received an M Arch degree at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Architectural design and history, historic preservation, public housing, and environmentally-conscious design are among a few of Michael’s interests. He is a Commissioner at the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.
Annemarie is the office manager of BSA. A graduate of NYU Steinhardt, her leadership, communication and organization skills help strengthen the office’s foundation and the staff’s well-being on a daily basis. Annemarie grew up in an environment of building and construction, her father leads a successful development company based in Queens, NY.
Dyana is a native New Yorker who received a Bachelors of Architecture from New York Institute of Technology. Working for multiple firms has given her diverse residential experience in all five boroughs acquiring skills in construction and as built conditions for residential redesigns. Beyond the office, she has a passion for travel and is involved with Passive Design & Tiny Homes for the Homeless.
Jeff brings 20 years of experience in a wide range of architectural fields from Surgery Centers to Restaurants, with the past decade working in High-End Residential throughout Manhattan. Jeff finds inspiration from the famous quote, “The sun never knew how great it was, until it hit the side of a building;” and is driven to be a master of light.
Spenser is a graduate of Syracuse University’s architecture program and relocated to Brooklyn to pursue professional experience in the dense urban fabric of New York City. She is a thoughtful designer, and enjoys translating a project’s conceptual aspirations into compliance with the realities of construction and code. Spenser explores the influence of the built environment as she pursues her journey to licensure.
Since receiving her BFA in Environmental and Interior Design from Syracuse University, Samantha has immersed herself into architecture – with experience in commercial, residential, and multi-family design. Through thoughtful innovation and creativity, Samantha strives to solve both complex and simple problems, proving the power of design.
Prior to joining BSA, Anthony spent almost a decade in the retail design sector with projects spread across 4 continents. Such a wide range of project locations has made him familiar with nuances of building code, measurement systems, construction practices and cultures. As a result, Anthony strives to identify the critical elements of a project and distill that information into the simplest drawings, with a focus on constructability.
