LEED Office Building Renovation
LEED Office Building Renovation
Located on downtown New Haven’s main street, and steps away from the colonial-era Town Green, 55 Church Street was a tired, under-performing office building attached to a landmark 19th-century marble bank. Working with the Jonathan Rose Companies and longtime client The Hurley Group, we acted as both architects and project managers for the complete renovation and improvement of the two-building, 100,000 sq.ft. complex. We administered and acted as design consultants for a new facade and lobby renovation, we developed adaptive reuse designs and historic preservation programmes for the bank, and performed design-build services for common spaces. We also represented the ownership for the building’s LEED-EB Silver certification.
As a result of the building improvements, 55 Church Street is now fully leased; the bank building, while not yet leased, has hosted numerous arts and civic events. We continue to work with the owners in developing rental plans and fitouts for new tenants.
