Chelsea gets an update

Building Studio Architects was brought in to support the ownership team with a re-design for the public areas of 250 W 19th St in Chelsea. The improvements to this 1980s rental building included a lobby renovation, common areas and creation of new amenity spaces in order to elevate the lifestyle and experience in this ever changing Manhattan neighborhood.

A newly designed landscaped entrance courtyard connects the set-back building to the streetscape, while durable, elegant and cost-effective finishes enhance the redesigned lobby and entrance.

Apartments, hallways, package and mailroom were also freshened with clean, simple designs more suitable to today’s rental marketplace.  A rooftop community room and lounge with an outdoor terrace were created out of a portion of a residential unit.
