DDC Libraries

Libraries are community hubs, gathering places for neighbors young and old. We are lucky to work with Goldman Copeland Associates for the NYC Department of Design and Construction to do renovations and improvements to existing Queens and Brooklyn neighborhood libraries.

These modest 1-to-2-story buildings from the 1950s-1970s are all undergoing renovations to extend their lives and suit them better to their users’ needs. Our work, with partner engineers Goldman Copeland Associates, has included upgrading HVAC systems, replacing roofs, restoring facades, and interior restorations and repairs. While the work is modest, the impact is valuable to the Brooklyn and Queens residents living nearby.
