A New Synagogue Rises

While we have been working on this project for over a year, we can only now share its amazing progress. At over 300,000 sq.ft., this new synagogue for a town in Rockland County will be one of the largest synagogues in the country. With a mikvah [ritual bath] complex capable of accommodating 10,000 visitors a day, and a sanctuary that can handle over 30,000, this project is the largest we have done to date.

Brought into the project at a relatively late stage in mid-2019, we completely redesigned the exterior while integrating already-designed steel structures into the building. As of now, the steel is rising high, already the tallest building in the village, and will cap out at over 60' tall on four above-ground levels.

Our classical design features Jerusalem limestone cladding with bronze panels and bronze-finish doors and windows. The project is quite complex, comprising a new building, a gut renovation of an existing building, and connections to a third, creating a sacred complex of immense scale.

We deeply appreciate our clients' trust in us, and we are grateful for the many design and construction management team members who are helping us realize this important project.
