John Field appears on TV for Hidrock Prospect Park Renovation

We are so excited to announce John made the PIX 11 News with our project for this long-neglected corner at Bartell Pritchard Square at the southwest corner of Prospect Park West. This site, next door to the new Nighthawk Cinema, was occupied in the 1920’s by an ice cream parlor. Working with owner Hidrock Properties, we designed an historic storefront reminiscent of the original with a new roof terrace overlooking the park.

Ice cream is also back, with Brooklyn’s Ample Hills Creamery becoming the prime tenant.  The Historic District Council says, “It seems that sometimes we can have nice things. HDC is particularly thrilled about this stunning project…This is a reminder that with the right combination of ownership and regulation, even long-neglected sites can be returned to their former selves.”

Construction begins shortly and we hope to be open in time for ice cream season! Check in with our Facebook and Instagram pages for the opening!
