Rockefeller Center Interior Lobby Renovation
One of the most famous places in New York City is Rockefeller Center, home of NBC, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and site of the famous skating rink and annual Christmas tree lighting. The development, a city landmark, is owned by storied developer Tishman Speyer. We have been proud to help them improve the complex for the past few years and bring it forward to serve tenants and visitors in this very changed commercial marketplace.
A notable project is a new hallmark lobby interior at 50 Rockefeller Center; one of the complex’s central core of famous office buildings, with the façade incorporating a stainless steel sculpture Isamu Noguchi. We served as Architect of Record with Studio Mellone for this revitalization and transformation.
Senior Associate Jeff Moos has been our principal project leader for all our work at Rockefeller Center. Jeff successfully managed this complex project, delivering the highest aesthetic and performance standards, with the help of a complex professional team, including:
Interior Design: Studio Mellone - Andre Mellone, Vanessa Carreras
Lighting Design: Office for Visual Interaction [OVI] Jean Sundin
Acoustics: Cerami Associates Michael Diodato
MEP: JB&B: Robert Ayello
Structural: ADG
General Contractor: James E Fitzgerald
Vertical Transportation: Edgett Williams
Primarily thanks to Jeff’s perseverance and professionalism, we are proud and excited to continue to work with Tishman Speyer to improve and upgrade this internationally renowned landmark.
